I thought about the YAB message, and how my gifts and talents help define me and perpetuate the word “beautiful”. I also thought about the ways in which my own purpose intertwines with those around me. I needed to talk to them too.

For the most part, I successfully made all of my subjects uncomfortable. Not one of my friends was able to talk to me about why they find themselves beautiful without starting with a remark that was something along the lines of “I don’t know, I don’t really feel like I’m that interesting”, or “I feel like a conceited jerk”. That being said, I don’t regret it. Once we got to talking, they opened up significantly, and I think our conversations became synonymous to me placing a giant, silver sticker in the center of their forehead… and them just leaving it there because they could finally admit that they agreed with the message. At least I hope so.
